IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association)
The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) is the governing body for the shooting sport that simulates self-defense scenarios in competition. The association was established in the United States in 1996 in response to calls from shooting enthusiasts around the world with the organization currently having more than 30,000 members from 70 countries around the world.
The Phuket Shooters Shooting Range offers IDPA courses to develop safe handling skills and an introduction to the use of pistols for competition shooting.
No shooting experience is required. You will learn firearms safety rules, how to apply these rules in the handling of firearms, learn about pistols, the use of holsters and apply these safety rules whilst shooting. Once the basics have been mastered, the course will introduce you to competition shooting where you will have the opportunity to test your new found skills on real life shooting stages.
If you are interested in learning or developing new shooting skills, then this is the course for you.
